Does nTopology support multiprocessing?

Question:

Does nTopology support multiprocessing?

Applies to:

  • ntopcl.exe
  • nTopology
  • Windows 10

Answer:

nTopology supports multiple processors, but the software isn't optimized to utilize multiprocessing technology fully. CPU core count and speed impact nTopology performance the most, and we notice some performance consequences with multiple processors. The single-socket Xeon-W processors usually outperform Dual Xeon configurations.
