Importing a CAD part

Frequently, nTop workflows begin with CAD inputs. The software can import many native and generic CAD file types. This article lists options for importing 3D CAD geometry and makes suggestions for optimal workflows. Parasolid formats tend to yield the most dependable results. CAD and STEP inputs of single-part or multi-body files are also typically robust. For assembly files, we suggest exporting to Parasolid with a flat assembly hierarchy. Import Part supports the following file types:
