Issue:

Why do I get this error message? The CPU is not configured to run nTopology because AVX is not enabled.

Applies to:

nTopology 3.0+

Cause:

This is a new warning label that was introduced in nTopology 3.2, letting you know that you may experience crashing or the system not working since your CPU is not configured to run AVX.

Solution:

nTopology needs a CPU with AVX enabled to run properly. If you receive this error, you need to enable AVX on your CPU (this is best done through your IT department) or upgrade your CPU to one that has AVX enabled. When choosing a new CPU, please refer to our System Requirements Guide.
