Users have reported receiving a graphics driver error notification and encountering nTop to unexpectedly exit in specific contexts, despite their machines meeting the minimum system specifications.
Different factors appear to compound, thereby increasing the likelihood of the seemingly unwarranted error:
- Resuming use of a running instance of nTopology after waking the computer from a sleep state
- The installation of Windows “quality update” KB5013942
- The use of one or more monitors in portrait mode
If you restart your system, it alleviates the issue but does not guarantee that the same system state can be avoided in the future: if you encounter this error and know your system specs are adequate, it is recommended that you perform a Windows update.
If you continue receiving the error notification after restarting and updating the system, please contact nTopology support.
